📰 AI News: Nvidia announces AI supercomputer

NVIDIA has announced the DGX GH200 AI supercomputer, powered by GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips and the NVLink Switch System, which aims to enable the development of large-scale models for generative AI language applications and data analytics. The supercomputer combines 256 GH200 superchips to provide 1 exaflop of performance and 144 terabytes of shared memory. It eliminates the need for traditional CPU-to-GPU connections and offers improved bandwidth and power efficiency. Google Cloud, Meta, and Microsoft are among the first to gain access to the DGX GH200 for research purposes. NVIDIA is also building its own DGX GH200-based supercomputer called NVIDIA Helios. The DGX GH200 supercomputers are expected to be available by the end of the year.
